Dr. Johnny Kaldis is a Houston native who grew up in the Memorial area and discovered his passion for animals early in life.
He spent his childhood watching Animal Planet and zoo shows, which inspired him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. At 15, he began working as a kennel technician and quickly realized that caring for animals was exactly where he belonged. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M University in 2021, followed by his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M in 2025.
Dr. Kaldis has a special interest in both surgery and exotic animal medicine. He enjoys the unique challenges that come with treating a wide variety of species. He believes in collaborating with pet owners, making decisions together, and providing individualized care for each patient.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Kaldis enjoys traveling, relaxing at the beach, practicing Pilates, and spending time at his family’s ranch. He shares his adventures with his wheaten terrier, Maggie, who is always up for a trip to the ranch or a “pup cup” run.
